Kyrgyzstan will host the Eleventh Plenary Session of Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries (TURKPA) on 23-34 June 2022.
The meeting, entitled “Parliamentary Diplomacy- the Basis of Trust and Partnership”, will gather the heads of member parliaments, as well as parliamentary delegations of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, representatives of observer organizations, Turkic cooperation institutions, and academic and educational circles.
It is expected that the session will make the decision on changing the name of the Organization, adoption of the documents of permanent commissions and a model Law.
The TURKPA is an international organization comprising some of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye. It was founded on 21 November 2008 in Istanbul. The General Secretariat is in Baku, Azerbaijan. Since June 2014, Hungary is an observer.
Turkmenistan received observer status in the Organization of Turkic States in 2021. The country is interested in partnership with such OTS affiliated international organizations as TURKPA, the Council of Elders and the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.///nCa, 23 June 2022
