A batch of fertilizers from Uzbekistan was sent through the International Turkmenbashi port in transit to Europe.
As the Trend reported, with reference to the transport and logistics company “ADY Container” LLC, 24 20-foot containers with mineral fertilizers from Uzbekistan were transported by rail to the port of Turkmenbashi, and onward headed to the Baku port.
From Azerbaijan, the containers were again reloaded onto a train that arrived at the Georgian port of Batumi. Thence, the cargo was delivered to the Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta.
In January-September 2022, about 4 million tons of cargo were transported through the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi.
About 390 thousand tons of cargo were transited on the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan route through the Caspian port of Turkmenistan in January-August.
The International seaport of Turkmenbashi aims to increase the cargo turnover to 400,000 containers (TEU) per year. ///nCa, 5 September 2022
