Foreign trade turnover of Central Asian states exceeded USD 200 billion

The total foreign trade turnover of the Central Asian states over last six years exceeded US $ 200 billion.

This was stated by the First Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies of Uzbekistan, Akramjon Nematov, during the conference “Tajikistan and Central Asia: a policy of good neighborliness, mutual support, eternal friendship and common development”, held on 10 March 2023 in Dushanbe.

He said that foreign direct investment in the region increased by 45 %, reaching US$ 40 billion in 2022. /// nCa, 13 March 2023
