Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan will convene the meeting at level of the ministers to discuss and exchange ideas comprehensively for the purpose of implementing the TAP project. The statement came from the Ministry of Energy and Water of Afghanistan.
According to the press release, the ministry hosted the meeting attended by the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water Mulla Abdul Latif Mansoor, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Hoja Ovezov, head of Turkmen delegation Myrat Artykov, the Head of Afghanistan’s National Power Utility (DABS) Mulla Muhammad Hanif Hamzah, the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Ministry of Energy and Water Mulla Abdul Qahir Idris, the Governor of Herat Sheikh Al-Hadith Maulana Noor Ahmad Islamjar, and a number of other officials of Turkmenistan.
The sides exchanged the ideas about joint cooperation under the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission project and the construction of Noor ul Jihad Substation.
The sides emphasized on the coordination between the technical teams of the two countries to speed up the mentioned projects.
