The Association “Turkmen Logistics”, an umbrella organization for private transport companies of Turkmenistan, actively cooperates with higher educational institutions in the field of training specialists.
So, a few days ago, a specialist of the Association participated in a training session on “The economic significance of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of transport in bilateral intergovernmental commissions on interstate cooperation between Turkmenistan and foreign countries”, hosted by the training center for priority areas of diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was held within the framework of the joint plan of IIR and the Association “Turkmen Logistics” for the implementation of the “Program for the development of transport diplomacy of the President of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025”.
Students of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance were also invited to the training.
During the lesson, the role of the transport and logistics sector in the activities of trade, economic, scientific and technical intergovernmental commissions established jointly with foreign countries was discussed, as well as the contribution of the agreements reached within these commissions in promoting mutual trade between the countries.
The theoretical information was considered on the examples of specific initiatives of Turkmenistan in the international arena.
One of the latest such initiatives is the proposals put forward by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on cooperation in the transport sector during a state visit to Tajikistan.
The essence of this initiative is to form a new transport and transit corridor Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey, connecting vast regions of Central and South Asia, the Middle East and the Middle East.
Another promising project discussed at the lesson is the organization of multimodal cargo transportation between China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan with access to the seaports of the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea.
The students also got acquainted with the logistics services provided by the private sector – members of the Association “Turkmen Logistics”. ///nCa, 13 May 2023 (Photo credit – Association “Turkmen Logistics”)
