The abyss of beautiful music, a flurry of positive emotions that take your breath away – this is what can be said about the gala concert of the State Youth Symphony Orchestra on the evening of 27 May in the Ashgabat Palace of Mukams.
The stage accommodated 100 musicians aged 10 to 21 from all over Turkmenistan and, despite their young age, all performers already have considerable experience working in bands and ensembles of their music schools.
The co-authors of the project – the conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra Rasul Klychev and Guvanch Saparaliev, the conductor of the National Orchestra of the Palace of Mukams, who have done a great job to gift us a musical holiday.
These young musicians are now performing on par with their more experienced peers, thanks to their skills, determination, and discipline.
This amazing evening saw a real celebration of Youth and Music with major heroes being young soloists, a joint choir, soloists-musicians, dancers.
And we, the audience, charmed and fascinated, made an unforgettable journey into the world of virtuoso playing on national instruments – dutar and gidjak, incendiary rhythms of waltz and tango, enjoyed the fantastic a cappella singing of children’s choirs from the provinces, delighted with the ballroom dancers fluttering on stage…
The State Youth Symphony Orchestra is the orchestra of the future, thanks to its exceptional talent and professionalism in performance. Every member of the orchestra, every “voice” of the orchestra are stars who are becoming even brighter thanks to the experience of participating in initiatives of such a scale as the Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Moreover, this project perfectly demonstrates Turkmenistan’s keen focus on the issues of music education and the encouragement of young people’s creativity. ///nCa, 29 May 2023
