On Wednesday, 28 June, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Vafo Alibek Niyatbekzoda.
“Tajikistan has traditionally been a reliable friend and partner of Turkmenistan. Our cooperation continues to develop thanks to regular visits at the highest level, as well as active negotiations and consultations between the foreign ministries of our countries,” President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed during the meeting.
In this context, the recent state visit of the head of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan was mentioned, during which the commitment of the parties to further strengthen fruitful cooperation was confirmed.
As it was emphasized during the meeting, special importance in the political dialogue between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan is given to close cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, such as the UN, OSCE, CIS, ECO.
The interaction between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan covers various spheres, including politics, economy, culture, education, transport, etc., the head of Turkmenistan said.
“We are proud of the achievements in the development of our relations and are happy to look forward to new prospects for cooperation,” he added.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Ambassador Alibek Niyatbekzoda success in his diplomatic mission. ///nCa, 30 June 2023
