Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Kaiwen:
— Today we visited 7 polling stations. We talked with voters and members of the election commission. I can say with confidence that the Central Electoral Commission prepared for this election process at a high level. Naturally, in order to prepare for this major political event in such a short period of time, the CEC made a lot of efforts. The mood of the voters is upbeat. They are very active. We have witnessed that young people are especially active at the polling stations.
Deputy Chairman of the CEC of the Russian Federation Nikolay Bulaev:
— We observed several election campaigns that took place in Uzbekistan. I want to emphasize that the turnout of citizens in the current elections is high. The Central Electoral Commission carries out its activities at a high level in accordance with international standards. Voters have the opportunity to vote freely. At the sites where we visited, conditions have also been created for people with disabilities.
The unified electronic list of voters contributes to the transparent and fair conduct of the electoral process. During our meetings in Samarkand, it was clear that the Central Election Commission conducted a high-quality training for members of the commission at all levels, who know the requirements of the electoral legislation and approach their work with responsibility.
Zhang Ming, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization:
“Our surveillance activities started a few days ago. We participated in the opening of polling stations in the morning and made sure that everything was organized in accordance with the requirements of the law. Our mission was divided into 6 groups, and we observed the voting process in several dozen polling stations. Personally, I was pleased that parents brought their children with them to the polling stations, who had not yet reached voting age. Video that children are pleased to come to the polling station and get acquainted with the voting process and the electoral process in general. The active participation of voters in the elections indicates that the Central Election Commission has carried out large-scale work to inform the population about the electoral process.
