On 11 July 2023, Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshikawa Yuumi, who was on a visit to Turkmenistan, met with the students of Azadi National Institute of World Languages, the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan reports.
She visited the Japanese language classroom, where repairs are underway as part of the “Project to provide equipment for teaching Japanese at the D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages”.
The project is implemented within the framework of the Japanese program “Grant Assistance For Cultural Grassroots Projects”.
Yoshikawa Yuumi talked to students studying Japanese. Some students said that they like the popular hero of Japanese comics – the Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba).
Currently, 13,360 students learn Japanese in educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
It should also be recalled that during her visit to Ashgabat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan for Parliamentary Affairs Yuumi Yoshikawa donated 156 books on culture, history, economy, contemporary and popular art of Japan to the State Library of Turkmenistan within the framework of the “Read Japan Project”.///nCa, 20 July 2023.
