On October 29-30, 2024, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the UNRCCA organized a “Expert Meeting on Water, Energy, Environment, and Climate Cooperation in Central Asia” as part of its water project. The meeting brought together representatives from relevant ministries, state agencies, and national and international experts, including those from UNESCO, UNECE, UNAMA, and DPPA, to assess the current state of regional cooperation and identify priority areas for 2025.
Participants shared updates on recent developments in water, energy, environment, and climate collaboration in Central Asia and discussed strategic priorities for 2025 and beyond, with contributions from the delegates from the Central Asian states and the invited experts.
The delegations expressed their appreciation to UNRCCA for convening such a much-needed platform to facilitate dialogue and cooperation on key regional issues related to water, energy, environment, and climate. ///nCa, 31 October 2024 (in cooperation with UNRCCA)
