President Vladimir Putin of Russia signed a decree awarding the Order of Friendship to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In accordance with the decree, the leader of Turkmenistan was awarded the Order “for his great contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.”
The Order of Friendship was established in 1994. It is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign citizens of for special merits in enhancing peace, friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between peoples, for fruitful activities for the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of cultures of nations and nationalities, for a great contribution to the implementation of joint major economic projects, the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, strategic partnership and alliance with Russia, etc. ///nCa, 19 May 2022
