The trees that have seen five centuries of history are alive and well in the Turkman village of Zaamin district of Jizzakh region in Uzbekistan. — Not just one or two but 37 trees.
These are mulberry trees, reports UzA, the official news agency of Uzbekistan.
According to the experts, the oldest of them are 500 years old and the youngest are more than 200 years old. No one knows who planted them.
The local government and plant department are taking care of them together with the people of the village.
