Tamir Shakirov
I was fortunate to perform at the gala concert of the State Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev, conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan and Guvanch Saparaliev, conductor of the National Orchestra of the Palace of Mukams.
All members of the orchestra were selected on the basis of a competition held throughout Turkmenistan.
With the musical knowledge, ensemble, orchestral experience that I accumulated during seven years of studying in the specialty “violin” at the Children’s art school No. 4 in Ashgabat and two years of training with a tutor, I succeeded to pass the selection contest and become a member of the orchestra.
For a month we were immersed in a serious rehearsal and training process, during which we worked on the program of the grand concert.
Our repertoire included many world-famous works, including “Libertango” (A.Piazzolla), “Pirates of the Caribbean” (K. Badelt), “Waltz Joke” (D.Shostakovich), “Blue Danube” (I. Strauss), “Giamaica” (T.A.Vali), as well as Turkmen classical and modern works “Oguz”, “My Turkmenistan”, “Glory to you Turkmenistan”, “My sunny Land”, and many other compositions.
With participation in the State Youth Symphony Orchestra I enjoyed new knowledge and unique skills in the field of music and performing arts. Working in such a large team (one hundred orchestra members and three hundred choir members) allowed me not only to enrich my personal professional experience, but also to make many new friends. ///nCa, 28 May 2023
